Well, since no one else will, I figure I would post one just for fun...
There is this new fish. All we know about this new fish is...
1.) The size of the head is 9 inches long...
2.) The size of the body is the size of the head + size of tail...
3.) The size of the tail is the size of the head plus 1/2 the size of the body...
What is the total size of the fish??? (The total must be in "inches")
Can anyone guess or figure this out??? _________________ The human era is over, mutant era has come... |

If we set things as follows:
H = size of the head
B = size of the body
A = size of the tail
then from what you've given us we can say:
H = 9
B = H + A
A = H + B/2
We can then use substitution method as follows:
A = 9 + (9+A)/2
2(A) = 2(9 + (9+A/2)
2A = 18 + 9 +A
2A-A = 27 +A -A
A = 27
Now that we have A, we can substitute it back into:
B = H + A
B = 9 + 27
B = 36
H = 9
B = 36
A = 27
9+36+27 = 72 _________________ Under Construction
